Joana is a first-generation Colombiana professional in Health Administration and a dedicated advocate for the Latine community. She has extensive experience in cultural evolution, patient advocacy, and community leadership. Across tenures at Temple University Hospital, Penn Medicine, and Trinity Health, she has a proven track record of empowering Black and Brown professionals and increasing patient safety awareness for marginalized populations.

An accomplished leader, Joana previously served on the boards of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., NAHSE, and ALPFA. She specialized in driving organizational growth, expanding partnerships, and increasing brand visibility. She is passionate about leveraging art, culture, and civic engagement for community well-being, and aims to scale her impact in Philadelphia by expanding health and wellness initiatives to ensure the community thrives.
